Scholarship Opportunities

We offer more than 30 different scholarships to graduating Penn Manor High School seniors every winter before graduation, with total awards in excess of $70,000. The application period runs from late January until April 1. Businesses and community members interested in establishing a scholarship to honor an individual or assist students on a particular career/vocational tract can learn more by contacting PMEF executive director Anne Kinderwater Carroll at or 717-368-6545.

Other Opportunities

In addition to scholarships, the Foundation provides Venture Grants to support and enhance classroom instruction at all Penn Manor schools and assists Penn Manor families in need through our Strong & Healthy Families grant program. You can support these and other programs through donations and by volunteering on the PMEF board.

Venture Grant Projects

Penn Manor Education Foundation has provided grants for hundreds of innovative classroom materials and projects that give our students an advantage in preparing for college and careers.

Since the Venture Grant program started in 2000, we have awarded more than $750,000 in grants directly to classroom teachers. Recent projects have included lab equipment for plant science, veterinarian and physics classes, CNC routers, musical instruments, art and ecology field trips, physical education equipment, a flight simulator and makerspace materials for elementary school libraries.

Strong & Healthy Families initiative under way

Penn Manor Education Foundation is expanding its community outreach with a new program called Strong & Healthy Families. The objective is to provide assistance to families struggling with financial, emotional and physical challenges that affect school-age children.

PMEF has establish a fund to provide “Strong Grants” to support existing programs such as the Penn Manor Family Fund, Power Packs and Aevidum and new initiatives to help students pay academic fees for college admissions and testing and offset the cost of uniforms and supplies for Career specialized programs.

Grants also will support efforts to improve literacy, increase affordable housing options and provide mental health awareness and training.
