Foundation hosts nearly 100 retirees for breakfast, HS tours

The Education Foundation hosted nearly 100 Penn Manor retirees May 10 for the annual PMEF Retiree Breakfast, held at the high school.

Retirees gathered to share a meal and many memories, while learning about the work the PMEF is doing to assist Penn Manor families and enrich the educational experiences of all students.

Guest speaker Mike Treier, a 2009 Penn Manor graduate, talked about his journey as a football coaching assistant after graduation, which led to his current position as safeties coach for the New York Giants.

Attendees also got to hear an update on Penn Manor from superintendent Phil Gale and were entertained by the talented Manor Singers, led by choral director Lauren Ciemiewicz.

Following breakfast, retirees had the opportunity to win raffle prizes and tour the new high school.

We’d like to thank Penn Manor’s food service and custodial staffs for making this event possible.

It was great to reconnect with so many familiar faces!
