Nearly 100 Penn Manor retirees gathered Thursday, May 10, to enjoy breakfast with old friends and learn about PMEF programs at the Foundation’s 12th annual Retiree Breakfast.

Held in the high school cafeteria, the event celebrated PMEF’s 20th anniversary and featured the unveiling of a handmade quilt donated to the Foundation by the Lancaster Modern Quilt Guild. The quilt will be raffled off to raise funds for the Strong & Healthy Families initiative. (More on the quilt here)

Attendees enjoyed vocal performances by the Manor Singers and Penn Manor Vocal Jazz Small Ensemble, which performed music purchased through a PMEF Venture Grant.

Students in Mindy Rottmund’s Advanced Foods Class prepared pastries and fruit salads for the breakfast, which was served by the cafeteria staff. Table centerpieces were created by Diane Glock-Cornman’s Floriculture Class.

Presenters updated the crowd on Foundation programs, the quilt raffle and the fledgling Strong & Healthy Families , which provides assistance to economically disadvantaged Penn Manor students and families.

It was a great morning of fellowship, and we thank all who participated/attended!
