Kathy Fish joins PMEF board

Please welcome Kathy Fish, a proud Penn Manor parent and grandparent, to the Education Foundation board of directors.

Kathy was appointed March 1 to a two-year term on the board. She is director of endowment operations at Franklin & Marshall College, where she manages operational aspects of the college’s $300 million endowment.

“I’m excited for the opportunity to serve on the board and give back to the district that I was most fortunate to have available to my three children for their entire K-12 school years,” she said.  “My daughter-in-law and son-in-law also are graduates of PM, and my grandchildren currently attend or will soon be attending Central Manor Elementary School.”

Sons Tom and Mike graduated in 1997 and ’99, respectively, and daughter Jennifer graduated with the Class of 2002. Two of Kathy’s grandchildren—Wes and Samantha—now attend Central Manor, and two more—Allie and Zach—will enroll in 2019.

“Through the years, I have found Penn Manor to be academically very strong  and innovative, but most importantly, genuinely caring – not only caring about the children in their schools, but the parents of their students, and the residents and businesses in the community,” she said.

“I’ve always admired the wonderful teachers and administrators who strive to develop a teaching/learning partnership with their students’ parents and guardians.  Penn Manor also provides excellent extracurricular activities for our children to explore and greatly benefit from.”

Kathy has a bachelor’s degree in education from Millersville University and an associate’s degree in business administration from Bucks County Community College. She has held various positions at F&M since 1993, including business office manager and student loan coordinator.

She lives in Penn Manor with her daughter and son in law, Jennifer and Chris Lilley, and their two children.
