How You Can Help
Actively participate in programs
Support the Foundation’s financial needs through monetary donations, bequests, estate planning and/or life insurance beneficiary arrangements.
Gifts to the Foundation may be unrestricted for use as determined by the Board or funds can be dedicated to specific purposes as determined by the donor. Due to the complex nature of tax laws, you are encouraged to seek professional legal or financial advice.
Contributions
You may contribute in several ways via a level of giving, by creating an endowed scholarship/award or by creating a named endowment.
Levels of Giving
All contributions are welcome and will help fund Venture Grants awarded to Penn Manor School District teachers to enhance educational programs. The grants pay for enrichment opportunities, including classroom materials, field trips, artists in residence and other opportunities.
Endowed Scholarship/Award
— A pledge of $25,000 in support of a $1,000 annual scholarship/award
— A pledge of $12,500 in support of a $500 annual scholarship/award
If desired, your commitment may be satisfied over a pre-determined payment schedule (not to exceed four years). PMEF requests a personal meeting to both execute any necessary paperwork and design a scholarship / award befitting your significant investment. The Foundation will work with you to plan the details of your contribution and to ensure that your needs are met.
Named Endowment
Gifts to the PMEF Named Endowment Program are timeless because these assets are invested and managed to support the district in perpetuity. The Foundation has established criteria and procedures to ensure that all named endowment funds are targeted to mature ten years after the initial donation. A PMEF Named Endowment can be targeted to mature at $5,000, $10,000, $25,000, $50,000 or $100,000 levels. The endowment program offers a standard five-year annual payment plan with five additional years of growth to achieve the endowment fund goal. A lump sum payment option is also available with ten years allotted for growth. Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program
The Penn Manor Education Foundation is approved as an Educational Improvement Organization as defined by the Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC). The State of Pennsylvania allows a tax credit equal to 75% of any amount contributed to PMEF if the contribution is a one-year gift or 90% for a two-year gift. Read more about the EITC program here
