Charity Golf Scramble raises a record $9,900

Penn Manor Education Foundation’s 10th annual Charity Golf Scramble was an unqualified success, raising a record $9,900 for the organization.

The weather was perfect as 120 golfers enjoyed a barbecue lunch, a rousing round of golf, snacks and beverages throughout the day and a beef-and-chicken dinner. The outing was held June 14 at Meadia Heights Country Club.

In addition to individual supporters, 36 businesses contributed through sponsorships, participation and/or raffle prize donations. More than 70 raffle items were given away, thanks to the generosity of businesses and individuals.

The total raised for PMEF was the most ever in the 10-year history of the outing, an annual tradition marking the end of the school year.

A heartfelt “thank you” to all our participants and to host Meadia Heights.

Don’t miss the 2017 event, scheduled for June 13!
