Record-setting heat didn’t keep our loyal supporters from turning out Tuesday for the 11th Annual Charity Golf Scramble, which raised nearly $12,000 for Penn Manor students and families.

More than 100 golfers participated in the daylong outing at Meadia Height Country Club under sunny skies and temperatures that surged to 95 degrees.

The event included a round of golf, hot lunch, beverages, a buffet dinner and lots of comradery with Foundation supporters. Participants also took part in a raffle that included restaurant gift certificates, golf outings and lessons at several area courses.

The team of Don Mowery, Phil Hiestand, Mike Higgins and Matt Burkhart took home the traveling cup with a low score of 55.

Many thanks to our hole, lunch, beverage and prize sponsors, and a special thank you to Meadia Heights for an outstanding lunch and dinner.

Thanks, also, to the many participants who made this event such a success!
